Walter Muelling is an active composer, arranger, conductor, educator, scholar, and performer. He is the founder of Muelling Educational Editions, an independent digital music publisher dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible music editions designed specifically for educators and students. He is a critical scholar engaging in activist research for liberatory sociocultural transformation by investigating humanizing pedagogical practice and anti-oppressive curricular design. His diverse musical background includes rigorous classical training, but he specializes in multi-genre, crossover, and improvisatory styles. He currently serves as Instructional Coordinator and Resident Musician at Community MusicWorks in Providence, RI.
